Q: What services do you provide at Surespeed?
We provide same day urgent and scheduled deliveries nationwide. From our base in Cambridge, we run vehicles from cars to Luton tail lift vans, transporting anything from an envelope to pallets.
Q: Do you have any strange delivery stories/encounters from your time at Cambridge Couriers Services ?
A customer once asked us to urgently deliver a single jam jar lid to Inverness.
We thought it was an unusual request, but as always, we handled it with care and professionalism. It later turned out that an entire factory production line was on hold because of that one missing lid.
It just goes to show that no delivery, no matter how small, is ever “just” a delivery!
Q: What benefits has your NCDA membership brought to your business?
Having personally only been in the industry for 2 years, I feel it is a great opportunity to network with other more experienced members of the association.
Access to CreditSafe and the Quest HR documentation has been great for us too!
Q: What do you enjoy most about the logistics sector?
We love the constant fast-paced, sometimes hectic nature of it all. Working to deadlines with some of the important deliveries we carry out can sometimes be nerve-wracking, but it is worth it to know that the vital documents, samples, or equipment get where they need to be on time, thanks to us.
Q: What is something unexpected about Cambridge Couriers Services?
We are entirely family-run.
It’s just myself and my mum overseeing all office operations, and the business that my uncle started has been operating for over 30 years. Customers are often surprised that such a long-established company still maintains such a personal, hands-on approach.

Q: If you were stranded on a desert island, and you could only bring three things with you, what would you bring and why?
- My sausage dog, Frank - for some company.
- My phone - because I’d probably never truly switch off from work!
- My fiancée - so I’d still have someone to cook for me 🙂
