NCDA Fuel Survey - Round 2 

Thank you to everyone who took part in our latest Fuel Survey. The survey confirms that fuel costs continue to put pressure on operating margins, with many businesses still choosing to absorb increased costs rather than risk losing customers. While fuel surcharges are widely used, they are generally applied on a customer-by-customer basis, with members highlighting the administrative burden of managing variable charges.

Members also highlighted the ongoing challenges of transitioning to electric vehicles, with infrastructure, range and cost remaining key barriers. In addition, there is widespread concern about the potential impact of future pay-per-mile (eVED) road charging on both operating costs and customer pricing.

The NCDA Committee will continue to use this feedback to ensure members' views are represented in discussions with government and industry stakeholders.
