HMRC’s Making Tax Digital (MTD) Programme

The NCDA have been contacted by the HMRC Making Tax Digital team who are there to support customer readiness.

MTD is introducing a significant change to the way income tax self-assessment is reported to HMRC. From April 2026, self-employed individuals and landlords with income over £50,000 will be required to submit quarterly updates using compatible software. This aims to support better cashflow management and real-time record keeping, while also helping to reduce error and fraud.

Here is a link to the gov.uk page for the project which provides background information.

As part of your membership all NCDA members have access to Quest Business Support - a significant resource of documentation and online training sessions.

You are also entitled to a FREE 1-2-1 business review - please contact Savio Zuzarte, Commercial Support Manager via email or Phone: 07745 123255
